YOUR VOLUNTEERING COMMITMENT

·The volunteer portion of Neo membership is comprised of 4 requirements:
  1) Members must attend, as an audience member, 3 productions per calendar year (which would include all main stage productions and members projects).

2) Members must attend, at minimum, 6 Company Meetings per calendar year.

3) Members must attend, at minimum, a total of 10 of the following Neo events:		    

a. Play Readings
b. Monologue Festivals
c. Company Auditions
    


4) Members must perform 25 volunteer hours annually, which will come from the following: 		    

a. Ushering 
b. Committee membership 
c. Producing (fulfills 2 years of volunteer hours) 
d. Stage Managing 
e. Light and Sound Board Operating 
f. House Managing
g. Phone Tree 
h. Assistant Directing 
i. Audition Help (both company auditions and production auditions) 
j. Monologue Festival Help 
k. Set, Lighting, Costume or Prop Design 
l. Set Construction 
m. Light Hang 
n. Strike 
o. Program Creation 
p. Food Preparation/Catering 
q. Board Membership 
r. Misc. Odd Jobs		    
 

Notes

· All Neo events will have sign-in sheets with which all members can be credited for attendance and the hours they worked.

· All members will be allowed to "buy" their volunteer hours under certain guidelines:
  
 

· You will be given 1 hour of volunteer time for every hour you spend in "approved" copying where there is no fee involved; Or you may receive 1 hour of volunteer time for every $5 you spend if you do not ask to be reimbursed for your money.

· You may "purchase" your volunteer requirements at the end of the year, should you fail to fulfill what is asked in the following way: A) $12 per production requirement not met B) $5 per events, listed in requirements 2 and 3 above, not met C) $5 per hour, listed in requirement 4 above, not met

  
  · If any Company Member is a cast member or crew member in enough shows as to limit their ability to attend (as an audience member) their required number of 3, a special exception will be permitted.

· All members have the option at the beginning of the year to become Associate Members. Associate Members shall retain all member privileges, however they will pay an additional fee to be freed of any and all volunteer requirements. Associate Member dues should be an additional $150.00, in addition to the annual dues amount of $180.00. The additional amount must be paid by March 31st of that same year. (An exception is being made for the year 2002: the additional amount must be received by May 31st.)

· The Board is open to ALL special circumstances in regards to financial hardship, time allowance. etc. Please direct any and all requests to the board and each will be evaluated individually.
